Payment approvals help businesses control their payments on Wise. Payment approvals are currently only available if you have a Wise balance.
You can set up a payment approval for any team member who has the role of:
Custom (with permission to prepare payments for approval)
For each team member, you can choose whether all their payments should require approval, or just those above a certain amount. The only exception is team members with the role of Preparer, as all payments by Preparers require approval.
You can also choose for payments to require approval by 1 or 2 people. The approver can be an Admin, or a custom role with permission to approve payments.
If a payment that requires approval gets set up, eligible team members will be automatically notified to review it. Once approved, the payment can be funded and completed. Keep in mind that team members can’t approve their own payments.
Payments that have been set up and are awaiting approval will appear under the Needs your attention section on the top of the Home page. After a payment is approved/ rejected, it will appear amongst your other payments in the Activity feed.
Please ensure you have Transfers and balances notifications turned on to receive approval-related notifications.
