Every customer needs to be verified at some stage when using Wise. This is how we make sure we're safe and secure for all our customers, as well as compliant with all of the relevant money laundering rules. Sometimes, this procedure looks like taking pictures of your document and face with your device. At times this is the only proof we can accept, but we’ll surely let you know if that’s the case.
It is important that once this verification flow starts, not to exit it before completion.

Select the highest quality setting on your device
Follow the instructions on screen
Make sure that your whole document is in the frame, as well as your face — nothing can be censored
What if I don't have a smartphone?
If you are using the website, you have the option to verify yourself using your laptop/ computer camera. Just tell us that you don't have a smartphone by clicking on this option in the flow.
Note: This is not the same verification procedure as when you have to take a selfie, with your ID in frame. The instructions will explain what we need from you exactly.
