All Business customers in the EEA and the UK wishing to use this feature are currently being put on a waitlist. We don’t have an estimated time, so we’ll let you know by email once it’s available.

What card types and currencies work
We currently support credit and debit Visa and Mastercard payments in AUD, CAD, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HUF, NOK, NZD, PLN, RON, SGD, and USD.
What it costs you
The fee we charge depends on the card your customer pays with.
Credit or debit card | Fee |
---|---|
Domestic consumer card (issued where your business is registered) | 1% |
International consumer card (issued outside of the country where your business is registered) | 2.9% |
All business cards | 2.9% |
Our fees already cover Visa and Mastercard card scheme and interchange fees, so you won’t be charged anything extra.
Once your payment arrives, you can check the fee we charged in your Activity.
What it costs your customer
We don't charge your customer anything, but their bank or card issuer might charge them a fee if:
they're paying you in a foreign currency
they’re paying with a credit card
their bank treats the payment to Wise as a cash advance
If your customer isn’t sure what they’ll be charged, ask them to check with their card issuer.
Limits for card payments
You can request up to 10,000 GBP, or the equivalent in another currency, per payment. There's a limit on the total number of requests in a 24-hour period. These limits help Wise lower risks for this service.
How long it takes to receive the payment
It can take up to 14 days to pay out your money after we receive the payment. In some regions and the currencies, sometimes payouts can take longer.
You can see the estimated payout time in the Transactions details section by selecting the transaction.
In cases where we decide to close your account, we may retain your funds for a period of up to two months. This retention period allows us to address any incoming chargeback requests for which you remain liable.
How to issue refunds
You can now issue refunds to anyone who paid you by card through the Request payment option. The refund will go back to the original paying card.
You can go to your Transactions on the home screen, or:
Go to the Payments tab
Select either Payment links or Invoices
Select the Request, and then the specific payment
Select Refund payment
Choose how much you want to refund — it can be any amount up to the full amount paid. You can choose to issue a few partial refunds, but the total shouldn't be more than the full amount
If you refund your customer, you won't get a refund on the fees you paid for using our service when charging the payer.
Refunds to the card can take 2-10 working days to arrive.
