Wise has built an international payments network with a global network of direct connections to payment services and local banks and payment providers. Over the course of our 12 year history, there have been times when we’ve needed to make operational changes. We understand these changes can be difficult. Our utmost priority is to make sure we continue serving you in the best way possible. Please know that our teams across the globe are working diligently to do just that.
Below is a guide with information to help you navigate this change.
Things you should do:
You can find your new account details under your USD balance.
Share your new details with any friends or businesses that send you money. You can find the list of recent payers by going to your USD balance and filtering for Money in.
Change any invoicing templates you might have to reflect the new USD details.
If you receive payments from e-commerce or payment platforms, like Shopify, Stripe, Amazon, make sure you update the details there. The same applies to any other services where you have linked your account details, e.g. health insurance payout, Venmo, etc.
Ensure that any Direct Debits you have set up are updated with the new details. To find the list of existing Direct Debits, go to Payments and click on Direct Debits.
If you add money to Wise via bank transfers from your bank account, make sure you use your correct details.
Please note that payments sent to your account details after we’ve fully closed them will be automatically returned to the sender:
It usually takes 3-5 work days for ACH payments to return to your sender
and 5-10 work days for domestic and international wires.
If you still have Direct Debits set up with your previous account details, they will be cancelled and the merchant won’t receive the payment.
How do I use my new account details?
Your new details are already active.
Your new Local and Global - Swift details could be identical, or different from each other — but they'll work exactly the same as your previous ones.
You can receive domestic and international payments, set up Direct Debits and link your account to other payment service providers.

What happens to my old account details?
If you frequently use your USD account details, we've sent you an email about this change. The email will say when your previous details stop working.
You can still view your previous USD account details from your account.
If you didn't receive an email, we've already updated your details — use these instead of the old ones.
Are there any other changes?
