First, select and download a template. You’ll also find a template builder guide for each one to help you fill it in.
Batch payments are currently not available for Brazilian businesses.
Filling in the template fields
Each template has its own default columns. They’ll vary depending on the type and currencies you choose. The most important columns are:
Name — the name of your recipient, as shown on their bank account
sourceCurrency — the currency you use to pay for your batch
targetCurrency — the currency your recipients will get
Amount — the value amount of your transfer (numerical characters only)
amountCurrency — defines your payment type:
Fixed Source Payment — choose this to send an exact amount in the source currency. The fees will be deducted from your recipients
Fixed Target Payment — chose this to send an exact amount to your recipients in the target currency. The fees will be deducted from you, and your recipients will get the exact amount
For a saved recipient template, you'll also see these mandatory fields:
recipientId — a unique reference to a pre-existing recipient in your Wise account. You can get this by downloading the saved recipients template
recipientDetail — a reference for customers to help identify the recipient. You don't need to edit this
recipientType: Whether the recipient is a person or an institution (for example business or charity). This will often be pre-filled, but if it's blank — you should update it
recipientEmail — any email you add for this recipient will be shown here, and you don't need to edit it
various address fields, such as address country code, address city, address firstline, address state, and address postcode. You only need to fill the address fields in certain scenarios, like when sending global Swift payments

Log in to your Wise account and download the files from here. Then open the .CSV file with a spreadsheet app such as Microsoft Excel or Numbers and fill it out.
Send to bank accounts
You can pre-fill some information about recipients (for example, their currency, country and amount) in our template builder.
Each currency combination requires different information. Using the template builder, choose the target currencies and click “add row" for each combination. Then all relevant columns will be added to the batch file before you download it and fill in any missing fields manually.
Make sure you only fill in the fields starting with “e.g.”. “Email” and “Payment reference” are optional, so you can leave these blank. If you follow our template builder, you shouldn't make any mistakes.
Tips for every template
Don’t edit the names of the column headers — this will make your file unreadable. You can reorder columns if needed
Each row in the file spreadsheet shows one transfer — you can add up to 1,000 transfers per batch file
You can make batch payments to different currencies, but can only pay in one
Once you’ve filled in your template, just save it as a .CSV or .XLSX and upload to your account
