How does the Brazil World Cup card cashback promotion work?

If you've received an official email invitation from Wise, you can earn 0.5% cashback on qualifying transactions using your Wise personal card between June 16, 2026 and July 19, 2026.

Am I eligible for this promotion?

You are eligible to earn cashback if you meet all of the following requirements:

  • You have a verified personal profile with Wise.

  • Your registered Wise profile address is in Brazil.

  • You received our official promotional email inviting you to this campaign.

  • You haven't made a cross-currency card spend, a currency conversion, or a cross-currency money transfer (Send transaction) before June 16, 2026.

How do I earn cashback?

To earn cashback, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Convert BRL to USD: Add money to your account in Brazilian reals (BRL), and convert it to US dollars (USD) in your Wise app or website.

  2. Spend in USD: Make a qualifying card payment in USD using your Wise card.

How much cashback can I earn?

You can earn 0.5% cashback on your qualifying USD card purchases during the campaign. However, there are some limits on what you can earn:

  • Minimum transaction: Each purchase must be at least 2 USD to qualify.

  • Maximum spend cap: You can earn cashback on up to 2,500 USD of eligible spending per month.

When and how will I get my cashback?

We will pay your cashback directly into your USD balance once your qualifying transactions are fully cleared, captured, or posted by the merchant.

Please keep in mind that transactions showing as 'pending' or 'authorized' in your account do not qualify for cashback yet. We can only calculate and pay out your reward after the merchant finishes processing the transaction.

What transactions can I get cashback on?

You can earn cashback on most everyday card purchases in USD. However, some transaction types are excluded.

  • Cash or cash-like transactions, like ATM withdrawals, or cashbacks and purchases of gift vouchers

  • Gambling transactions, including bookmakers and casinos

  • Payments to financial institutions (like a credit card provider)

  • Payments connected to commodities, investments, savings or cryptoassets

  • Payments to government bodies or tax authorities

Why am I not getting cashback?

If you did not receive cashback on a transaction, it is usually because:

  • The transaction is still pending: The merchant hasn't fully cleared or captured the payment yet.

  • It was outside the promotional period: The transaction was made before June 16, 2026, or after July 19, 2026.

  • The payment was reversed: Your transaction was refunded, cancelled, or disputed.

  • The category is excluded: The merchant belongs to an ineligible category, such as an ATM withdrawal, investment platform, or government tax payment.

  • Your account status changed: Your Wise card or personal profile was suspended or cancelled.

  • Your profile eligibility changed: You updated your registered address to a country outside of Brazil, or your verification is no longer complete.
