What are Groups and how do I use them?

This feature isn't currently available to everyone. We're working on making this option available for all business customers.

Groups give you control over how you separate your funds and manage your team members' access to spend from those funds. Money in Groups is kept separately from your main balances — your Main Group.

As a business owner or admin, you can use Groups for anything that you’d like to separate funds and manage team expenses for. Once you create a Group, you can add the employees who can order cards and spend from it. . You can also hold multiple currencies and spend from them within each Group.

You can use Groups to:

  • separate expenses for teams in your company

  • create a pool of money for an event for your team to spend from

  • separate money to pay specific suppliers

  • manage controls and permissions for members to spend from specific Groups.

This feature is currently only available for select business customers. We’re working on making this available to all business customers soon.

How is a Group different from a Main Group?

Main Group refers to the main balances and Jars in your business account, which are separated by currencies. You have one main balance per currency. If you use Groups, nothing changes with your Main group — you can continue using your existing balances in the Main Group.

Groups are where business owners or admins can separate funds and manage team expenses.
