How is my data shared between Wise and Thyleads?
For the purpose of this pilot program, Wise does not share any business data or contact information with Thyleads. Thyleads generates its own outreach list of businesses using independent tools.
Data is shared only in the following circumstance:
Information Shared (Thyleads to Wise): Thyleads shares limited status updates with Wise only for businesses that express interest in the Wise Business product and click on the exclusive Wise link provided by Thyleads to begin creating their account. This helps Wise track the effectiveness of the pilot program.
Account Data Access: Thyleads does not have access to your Wise Account data, including your passwords, verification documents, bank details, transaction history, or your account status (such as verification progress or approval status). All account-specific data is secured and managed by Wise directly.
3. Onboarding and verification
What documents do I need to open a Wise Business account in India?
Typically, you will need:
PAN Card (business or individual)
Aadhaar (for sole traders / proprietors)
GST Registration Certificate (if applicable)
Bank account details for INR settlement
Business registration documents (for companies/LLPs)
Proof of export activity (invoice, contract, or similar)
Learn more about verification requirements for each business type
Apart from submission of the documents, RBI regulations also require us to complete video KYC of one beneficial owner or authorised designatory on behalf of the business.
How long does the verification/KYC process take?
For most businesses, verification is usually completed within a few business days. In some cases, accounts may be placed under review if additional information or documents are required. If your account has been 'under review' for more than a week without communication, please contact Wise support from your registered email and company name for escalation.
My verification is complete but I still cannot receive payments — what should I do?
Please contact Wise support, share your verification status screenshot and registered email, and the team will investigate your case.
I started onboarding but dropped off midway — can I resume?
Yes, you can resume your onboarding from where you left off by logging back into your Wise account. If you need any general guidance or clarification in completing a specific step (such as video KYC, Aadhaar linking, bank verification), Thyleads (as the Growth Partner) can provide explanations to you as necessary.
For step-specific assistance or any issue with KYC, identity verification or bank account verification, please contact Wise support.
4. How does Wise Business work?
How can I use a Wise business account to receive funds from clients?
Go to Payments and Account details to get your local or international account details.
Share the local account details of the source currency with the client to get paid fast. For example, if your client is based in the USA, share USD local account details.
Your client sends the payment like a normal bank transfer, and Wise will send the money converted to INR at inter-bank exchange rate to your India bank account.
5. Pricing and transfers
How much does Wise charge for receiving international payments?
Unlike traditional banks, Wise uses the inter-bank exchange rate with transparent fees and no hidden markups. The exact rate is determined at the time of transfer from the Local Account where payment is received to the bank account in India specified by you when registering on Wise.
You can check the current applicable rate here
Is there a transaction limit?
Yes. As a PA-CB Inward licensee, Wise operates under a per-transaction cap of ₹25 lakh (INR 2.5 million) as mandated by RBI.
How fast will I receive my money?
Most transfers settle on a same-day or next working day basis (T+1). Settlement time depends on the currency corridor and the sending bank.
6. e-FIRC and compliance
Do I need to provide a Purpose Code for my transfers?
Yes. To ensure your e-FIRC is accurate and your remittance is compliant with FEMA, you will select a Purpose Code (for example P0802 for Software consultancy) to accurately declare the nature of your business, during the onboarding process.
Will I get an e-FIRC for every payment I receive?
Yes. Wise provides a digital e-FIRC (Foreign Inward Remittance Certificate) for every inward transfer. It is typically available within 24 hours of settlement in your email and Wise account dashboard. e-FIRC is useful for exporters to prove realisation of export proceeds within guidelines prescribed by FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act), generation of electronic Bank Reconciliation Statement for DGFT, closure of EDPMS entry by exporter’s bank, GST refunds if applicable, etc.
7. Security and Privacy
Is my data safe with Wise?
Yes. Wise Payments India Private Limited is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India and is licensed as a PA-CB (Inwards) entity. In other countries, Wise group entities are similarly regulated by financial services regulators in the jurisdictions where they operate. Your data is handled in accordance with Wise's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. While Thyleads has processed your publicly available contact information for the purpose of reaching out to you under the Growth Programme, they do not have access to your Wise Account data should you choose to set up an account with us.

If you receive a communication that you suspect is not genuine, (i) do not click on any links or attachments, (ii) do not share any personal or financial information, and (iii) verify the communication by contacting Wise directly via Wise support.
Wise, and Thyleads (acting as the authorised Growth Partner) would never ask you for your password, one-time password (OTP), bank or card PIN, or other sensitive information.
