How do live rate transfers work?

There are 2 cases where we might give you a live rate for your transfer.

Your money reaches us after your guaranteed rate lock has expired

If your money reaches us after the time limit for your guaranteed rate, we’ll use the live rate at the time we receive it. This means that if your rate lock expires at 2pm, and your money reaches our account at 4pm, we’ll lock the live rate at 4pm and use that to send your money.

For this reason, it’s usually best to get your money to us as soon as possible.

We can’t offer you a guaranteed rate

There might be some instances where we won’t be able to offer you a guaranteed rate. In these cases, we’ll send your transfer at the live rate when we receive your money. We’ll always let you know if you’re getting a guaranteed rate beforehand.
