We recently made operational changes in the US that impacted the account details you use to receive USD.
Due to these changes, on 31 October we’re also deactivating Wise cards for businesses registered in the US. This is temporary and we're working hard to make the Business card available again.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
How do I know if this change impacts me?
This change will only affect you if your business address is in the US. All cards associated with the business will be deactivated.
Personal Wise accounts or Wise Businesses that are not registered in the US aren’t affected. For them, everything continues to work as usual.
What will happen after my card is deactivated?
Your Wise Business physical and digital cards will stop working on 31 October 2023.
This means that starting from this date:
You won’t be able to make purchases in store or online
You can’t take cash out from ATMs
You can no longer spend with your card via mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay
Any subscriptions and recurring payments using these card details will fail
When can I get new cards?
We’re working hard on making cards available again to you as soon as possible. You'll be able to request new Wise physical card for free — we’ll let you know immediately once cards are back.
What happens to refunds to the old card details?
You’ll still receive the refunds sent to your old card details, even after they’re deactivated.
Merchants can issue refunds to your old card for up to 120 days after the card is deactivated. Refunds will be reflected on the transactions page and funds will be credited to your balance, as per usual.
