Your borderless account is free to open. It’s also free to get your bank details, hold multiple currencies, and add money.

There's a low, transparent fee for converting currencies within your account — and for moving money out of your borderless account into your bank account.

Fees for using your card

There’s plenty you can do for free with your Wise debit Mastercard®. And you’ll only pay a conversion fee when you spend in a currency that isn’t in your account.

Spending currencies you have in your account
Free

Spending currencies you don't have in your account There’s a low, upfront conversion fee for spending in a currency that isn’t in your account. Fees are typically between 0.35% - 1%. More details in the table below.

Spending currencies that Wise doesn’t support
Wise supports 96 currencies worldwide. But if you spend in a currency we don’t support, then Mastercard rates apply.

Withdrawing cash from an ATM
Withdrawing money from ATMs is free during our beta phase. Starting July 1st, it will be free to withdraw up to £200 a month (or another currency equivalent), with a 2% fee thereafter.

Fees for converting currencies

When you convert currencies — either within your account, or when you spend on your card — you’ll always get the real, mid-market exchange rate. Like the one you see on Google.

You’ll also pay a low, upfront conversion fee. This fee depends on the currencies you’re converting, but typically, it’ll be between 0.35% and 1%.
