First things first - is the Revolut debit card free, and how much does it cost to use it? It all depends which Revolut plan you’re on, and whether the card is digital or physical. You can even get a Metal card, exclusive to paid plans.
To give you an idea of the fees, let’s take a look at card charges for the Revolut Business Grow plan (the first paid plan up from the free Basic plan):¹

Most card payments with Revolut are free. However, there are some fees for spending in a foreign currency above the free allowance determined by your plan.
For example, the Revolut Grow plan comes with a free foreign exchange allowance of £10,000 a month. If you exceed this, you’ll pay a 0.6% fee. There’s an additional 1% fee if the payment is made outside of foreign exchange market hours.¹
Revolut business cards have a flat fee of 2% for all ATM withdrawals, both home and abroad. This is the same for all plans, so you’ll pay it whether you’re signed up for Basic, Grow, Scale or Enterprise.²
And if you withdraw in a foreign currency above your free FX allowance, there are additional fees to pay (as we’ve looked at above).
There are some limits as to how much you can spend on your Revolut Business debit card.
The Revolut Business cash withdrawal limit is £3,000 or the currency equivalent per 24 hours. This is for all cards linked to the account, and for all plans.³
The spending limit is £5 million per month.³ Additionally, you can set up your own custom daily, weekly or monthly spending limits.
Still have questions about Revolut Business cards? Take a look below, as we’ve tackled some of the most commonly asked questions below.
Revolut cards aren’t prepaid, so you can’t top them up as you go. They work just like ordinary business debit cards, as they’re linked to your Revolut current account. You just need to make sure there are sufficient funds in the account before you spend.
To do this, simply set up a standard bank transfer from another current account. You’ll need your Revolut account details to hand.
To order a card, you simply need to follow these steps:⁴
Once the card has been delivered, you’ll need to activate it in the Revolut Business hub. You’ll find the option to ‘Activate now’ in the ‘Cards’ section.⁵
Alternatively, you can make an ATM withdrawal or a Chip & PIN transaction with the new card.⁵
You can use your Revolut Business card for spending and cash withdrawals worldwide, wherever Mastercard and Visa cards are accepted. There are a handful of exceptions, including North Korea and Russia. See the full list here.
You can spend and withdraw cash in over 140 currencies, as Revolut cards automatically support the same currencies as its accounts.⁶
You’ll get a certain number of free cards when you join a plan, with additional cards available at an extra cost. This includes Revolut Business virtual cards too.
Here are the limits you need to know about:⁷
- Physical cards - order up to 3 cards per team member
- Virtual cards - get up to 200 virtual cards per team member
- Metal cards - order one card per business (paid plans only).
If you’ve lost your debit card or think it’s been stolen, the first thing to do is freeze it in the Revolut app. You can do it in just a tap, and then order a new card.
In cases where fraud is suspected, you can submit a chargeback request and if approved, you’ll receive a refund for any stolen funds.
To contact Revolut about a lost or stolen card, you can use the live in-app chat function or call the automated phone line on +442033228352 to block your card.⁸
