See how Wise helps students and their families save money.
Wise gives you the real exchange rate (the mid-market rate) — like the one you see on Google, with a low, upfront fee.
Banks and money transfer services often mark up the exchange rate, and charge a transaction fee on top. Some banks and money transfer services promise a 0% fee or no commission, but they hide those costs in their version of the exchange rate. So watch out for that! Learn more about mid-market rate.
You can sign up for a Wise account for free. Check out our pricing calculator here.
Send money: We give you the real exchange rate and charge a low, upfront fee for sending money.
Receive money: It’s free to receive money with your Wise account in 9 different currencies, including AUD.
Spend money: You can spend at the real exchange rate, with a low conversion fee, if you need to convert currency with your Wise account.
Most providers and banks have to go through intermediary banks to get your money to your recipient. Each intermediary bank takes a fee from your transfer, which increases the total cost.
Wise developed new technology and payment rails that let us cut out the middlemen, and offer you the real exchange rate for a low fee and no hidden charges.
